how this works
About vegerank
A head-to-head ranking of every vegetable, one matchup at a time.
The vote
You're shown two vegetables and pick the one you'd rather eat. Do that enough times and a personal ranking falls out the other end — plus a taste-profile chart across eight categories, from leafy greens to root vegetables.
The leaderboard
Every vote also feeds a global leaderboard, shared by everyone who's played. It doesn't update instantly — it's recomputed on a schedule from the full vote history, which makes it much harder for a burst of votes to game the order.
No accounts, no tracking
There's no sign-up. Your session lives only in your browser for as long as you're playing, and there are no cookies or third-party trackers on this site — just your votes.
The art
Every vegetable's pixel art is code, not a drawing — generated by Claude (Anthropic's AI) placing pixels onto a 16×16 grid from one shared colour palette. It's a small, deliberately retro way of keeping several dozen vegetables feeling like one consistent set.
